Dr. Sal Palazzolo’s dedication to St. Agnes and the Rockville Centre community extends back two decades.
Dr. Sal has been a core member of the St. Agnes Fathers’ Club since 1999. He’s led numerous activities over the years, including the popular Super Bowl raffle and countless Texas Hold ‘em nights. He’s also served on the golf outing committee and participated in many capital projects and Christmas tree lightings. His participation in the SAFC reached its peak when he served as the group’s Vice President in 2010-11 and President the following year.
Dr. Sal and his wife Eileen have served on the school’s Gala Committee and have been active in St. Agnes Cathedral Parish for years. They are regulars on the annual Parish Party Committee and have worked in support of the Men and Boys Choir and Boy Scouts. Sal has also served as an usher for the 11 am Sunday Mass.
Dr. Sal has been a respected dentist in Rockville Centre for many years and his generosity extends to the greater community. He has been a member of the International Order of Oddfellows for 19 years, has served as a coach and on the board of directors of the RVC Little League, has been a sponsor of the RVC BBL for 20 years, and is a long-time member of the Friends of Mercy Medical Center and Hempstead Golf and Country Club.
Dr. Sal and Eileen have two boys. Thomas graduated from St. Agnes in 2009, Regis High School in 2013 and is a senior at Villanova University. William graduated from St. Agnes in 2015 and is a sophomore at Xavier High School. Although Sal’s two sons have graduated from St. Agnes, he remains an integral part of the SAFC’s core team and continues to support the group’s activities with his time, wisdom and generosity.
Dr. Sal is humbled to be honored with the William J. Cronin award by the Fathers' Club and is deeply appreciative of all the SAFC has done for the St. Agnes community over the years.
